My name is a Sanskrit term, meaning immortality or nectar. The first recorded use of this word is in the “Rig Veda,” in which it is used to describe the drink that gives the Gods the gift of immortality. This drink is also said to sometimes appear miraculously from the statues of Hindu gods, which is then drunk by the devout, who claim that it is sweet.

Continuing my educational voyage, I advanced my expertise through master's level modules in Yoga and Meditation at SOAS. Yoga and spirituality are ingrained in my family's history. In the 1800s, my great grandfather brought his Yoga knowledge from undivided India to London. My grandfather, a pioneer Indian barrister from the University of Cambridge, seamlessly integrated traditional practices, principles, and Ayurvedic diet into modern British life. In retirement, he spread his wisdom across Europe until his passing at 89 in Marbella, Spain.
My mother, having lived across India, immersed herself in various forms of Yoga, Reiki, Ayurveda, and meditation. Raised without allopathy, my siblings and I relied on alternative healing methods—pressure points, pranayama, Ayurvedic recipes, manifestations, and meditation. My sister and I learned natural beauty techniques, including masks and oils, which I continue to use today.
Vipassanā or vipaśyanā literally "special, super, seeing", is a Buddhist term that is often translated as "insight." After receiving this insight, I continued diligently with Vipassana meditation and have incorporated techniques of Vipassana in my personalised meditation programmes.
This immediately changed my way of thinking, working and entire lifestyle. I found myself naturally grounding in nature to find my balance and stability.
In 2013, I created "Bollyoga," a unique fitness programme blending Yoga and Bollywood dance, bringing together two cherished Indian traditions, touching those would not be drawn to Yoga otherwise.
I discovered the essential role that Yoga plays in dance after training in the Indian dance styles of Kathak, Bhartanatyam and Bollywood. I have performed at notable events, such as the Nobel Peace Prize Concert and have worked alongside Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez and other celebrities.
Yoga, the ancient Indian Science, is not just a practice but a way of life for me. By embracing Patanjali's Eight Limbs of Yoga, I find clarity in my daily existence. Guided by the Yamas and Niyamas, there is a profound sense of purpose, eliminating confusion and guiding me toward the best possible outcomes in all situations.
